1 box penne (barilla or de cecco)
1 can tomatoes crushed (hunts or san marzano)
2 clove of garlic
1 cup vodka
2 cup heavy cream
fresh basil
salt pepper or hot pepper to taste
smash the garlic( you need only the flavor) in a pot with some oil, when golden remove, add the tomatoes, bring to boil, add the vodka, let reduce for about 30 minutes at low flame, then add the cream and on the stove for other 30 /40minutes .at the end add the basil (do not cut but use your finger to brake the leaves). Then ad to your pasta and this receipt is also used for doing Penne agli scampi because you need the vodka for the scampi, same process but the scampi go before the tomatoes and then the vodka and then the tomatoes at last always the cream.

1. Buy penne pasta, Prego sauce, and vodka.
2. Fill pot with water; wait for it to boil.
3. Put penne pasta in pot with a pinch of salt.
4. Simultaneously heat Prego sauce in microwave.
5. Remove Prego sauce from microwave.
6. Drain penne pasta.
7. Put the pasta in a bowl.
8. Pour the heated Prego sauce on the penne and toss it until evenly coated.
9. Pour yourself a glass of vodka.
10. Alternate between taking bites of the pasta covered in sauce and drinking the vodka. By the time you realize that the pasta covered in sauce doesn't really taste like anything special, you'll be too drunk (from the vodka) to remember. Mmmm.... that is my all time favorite Penne ala vodka recipe. Enjoy!

fresh parmesan cheese, grated
Cook penne according to directions on package. Drain and set aside. In a large skillet heat olive oil. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add vodka and cook until the flames dissipate.
