I had put raw steak in the fridge the day before yesterday.... Is it safe to cook and eat.. I thawed it out, and then put it in the fridge because we had decided not to eat it the other night... and it has been in there since... I cooked it for dinner but haven't tried it yet.... I was just curious as to your opinions.... THANKS!!

Hi! I'm going to make breakfast tomorrow and I really need some suggestions for an easy meal I can make. I want it to be good though. My family's mexican and all they like to eat is egg and chorizo tacos. I want a recipe that is different from what they eat everyday, but really good. Oh but, it can't be too odd or my dad won't eat it.

I've asked this before and got a couple suggestions, but I'm looking for more.

I'm looking for something I can fix after my two-year old daughter goes to bed. Sometimes it's nice to bake with her and I don't like always using mixes. I do have things I have to do and I need rest too though!

I have a good one for muffin batter that you can keep in your fridge, it's nice.

Names of websites with such recipes, or even cookbook titles and/or authors would be fine too.

Making marzipan where I am can be really expensive--less than a cup of almonds cost $20 US.

I was wondering if there are cheaper almond substitutes--can I use peanuts or cashews, for example?

If it was a really well written cookbook with easy-to-follow and clear recipes that were easy and tasted great...would you think about buying it? Ages 13 and up are the ages and it has appetizers, main dishes, snacks, desserts and baked goods.

I feel like playing around tonight and possibly coming up with a recipe. Since I'm low on groceries, I decided to make simple steak cuts and rice a roni with creamed corn. I plan on dicing up the steak into little cubes, sauteeing with white wine, teryaki sauce and garlic. How long do you think I'll have to fry 'em on the skillet? Do you think this will come out tasty. The rice a roni is teryiaki flavour too.

I'm relatively new to cooking, and tonight I'm trying my hardest to surprise my husband with his favorite dish, Steak stuffed Creamy Spinach. However, this is my first attempt and I "suck" at baking with timing and tempertures. I don't even have fine cook ware to help me. This will all be done by appx time. Any pointer or tips for this recipe (listed below):

SPINACH - STUFFED FLANK STEAK

2 (1 lb.) beef flank steaks
1 beaten egg
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach, cooked & drained
1/2 c. shredded sharp American cheese (2 oz.)
1/2 tsp. ground sage
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
3/4 c. soft bread crumbs
2 tbsp. cooking oil
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. dry red wine
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour

Pound each steak with meat mallet to 1/4 inch thickness; set aside. Combine egg, spinach, cheese, sage, salt and pepper. Stir in soft bread crumbs. Spread spinach filling over steaks. Starting from narrow side, roll up each steak li

I'm making stuffed steak with creamy cheesey spinach. I ran out of kitchen string, to keep the steak in rolls. I do, however, have some toothpicks (not the pointy ones, the straight edged ones, which will take a lot of poking to get through into steak). You think toothpicks are durable for the thickness of steak? I'm so unsure. I don't even have some sewing thread. My only option is toothpicks. Darn it, if I only had the sharped ones.
