I've thawed out 2.5 lbs of these lovely chops. I'm sort of bored and would like to make something different.

I am a very good cook and have a well stocked kitchen. I'm certain that I have 90% of the gourmet herbs and spices that can be purchased at a fine grocer or grown in my Florida garden.

I have a good supply of all the standard fresh veggies, greens, tomatoes, potatoes, fruit, etc. including a nice head of green cabbage and a large rutaba.

I have plenty of frozen and canned goods (including an enormous assortment of beans). I have a large assortment of kitchen tools and appliances.

Please send me your recipes and/or meal suggestions - no matter how simple or complicated. This family likes ALL types of food - homey or fancy. So, just tell me what your favorites are and give me some inspiration please.

Thank You and Bless You All!!!

I bought a bottle of Raspberry chipotle and thought it might be a good sauce to use on grilled salmon with roasted almonds? Is this something I would spread over the fish 'after' it is cooked or while it is cooking? With what other meats could this sauce be used?

I am trying to find out if it possible to use water instead of milk in Chocolate Instant Pudding as I love pudding but don't want to keep spending money on milk.

I want to make a treat for a south indian friend, I think he loves this. I'm looking for a recipe for this. Besides rice and buttermilk, I have cooking oil, indian spices, chilies, jeera, mustard, and peanuts at home!

I'm thinking of grilling some "surf and turf" this weekend, and I'm looking for a great cut of meat. I'd like to avoid filet mignon, so I'm wondering what else would go great on the grill? I'm looking to feed 8 people (total), but I don't want to do a roast or tri tip. I'd like everyone to have their own cut.
Thanks!

Had Longhorn's Sante Fe shrimp the other day - shrimp stuffed with pepper jack cheese and deep fried (yum!). Anyone have ideas on how to make it at home?

Thanks!

I made dough for rugalach last night and put it in the fridge. I brought it out to roll and it's so hard I can't get it out of the dish. Is it supposed to be like this? I've waited like an hour already for it to thaw a little. Should I just start over?

If you had ordered a pizza or made a home made pizza, what would you put on it? In other words, what kinds of meat or vegetables would you put on it? You can choose any toppings you want, so go crazy with your choice.

If I'm right, I understand that it is a dessert staple in the south, but I don't live in the south and don't know much about it nor do I have a good recipe for it. If someone has a great recipe I would be ever so grateful if you would share it. If anyone knows the characteristics of a good red velvet cake (ie tenderness, flavor, texture, mouthfeel, etc) I would appreciate that input as well. My daughters Bday is Valentine's Day but we're celebrating it this weekend & I want to do a heart shaped red cake. Red velvet was the first thing that came to mind. It is chocolate flavored right?

We are trying to eat more fish, and I have a fish cookbook, but it's somewhat limited........... my husband hates salmon (I love it) and so we're trying to explore some unusual varieties of fish to see if there's something we both like but I'm not sure how to cook some of this stuff.
