Depends on the dinner! If it's an extravagant dinner where everyone's invited, then cake. Otherwise, just serve a pie.

Did you know that fruit and confectionary pies digest faster than cake does. So with that being said its better to have a cake dessert with your lunch and pie after your dinner. Good advice to those who are weight conscience minded people.
