My dad and I have had a war over this very subject for years, along with putting relish in deviled eggs. He says that it's not "real" egg salad or deviled eggs if it has even a speck of relish in it. I say that he's full of cow pies!

Needless to say, I set some egg salad or a few deviled eggs aside for him, and the rest of us eat ours with plenty of sweet pickle relish.

Yes, because sweet relish or minced sweet pickle will add zing and fill out the blandness of the egg and mayo. I also add a lttle mustard as well.
