I'm cooking pork chops tonight and I fancy trying butter beans (or Lima beans outside UK!) to go with them. My mum used to cook them plain and they were so, so bland and that really turned me off them. I'm sure they could be made more interesting. Any ideas? I think they'd taste nice with parsley, but I'm not sure how to get them there!

I'm looking for authentic or adapted authentic cooking. I just watched a show on TV but only caught the end of it and missed all the general Lebanese cooking. Can anyone recommend a website with some good recipes?

I have a recipe calling for 8 skinless, boneless chicken thighs. When I stopped by the closest grocery store last night, they only had prepackaged chicken thighs sold by weight, and it was impossible to tell how many are squeezed into the package...even the guy working in that department couldn't estimate how many I would get in the package. I have looked online and have seen people saying that 8 thighs=1 pound and others saying 8 thighs is closer to 3 pounds. I could just buy two packages which would probably be enough, but prefer not to buy more than I need if one package would do.

I am throwing a dinner party and it's Asian themed. I love sushi, but some of my friends don't. I suggested making vegetable sushi, but they said they didn't like the nori. I was wondering if it were possible to create a spinach nori by chopping up boiled spinach, spreading it out on a sheet tray and drying it like nori. Would this approach work?

I'm supposed to be on a very low fat diet per my doctor. I need ideas especially for veggies (cooked, I don't like raw). For lunch I have found some low fat meat (low fat hot dogs, chicken breast, etc.) I love cheese, are there any no fat or very low fat? I would like to put cheese on cooked veggies, or would like ideas for flavoring the veggies. Mostly I need ideas for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is kind of hard since I cook for my hubby & I and he is not on a restricted diet.

I have a recipe that calls for 3 tablespoons of non fat dry milk. Upon searching for this at the grocery store I discovered that the smallest box of dry milk I can buy costs about 7 bucks. It seems kinda silly to me to buy a 7 dollar box of dry milk just to get 3 tablespoons out of it, since my husband and I will probably not use it after that. I would like to substitute liquid nonfat milk but I'm not sure if I would still use 3 tablespoons or not. Does anyone know?

I'm thinking Almonds, Tomatoes, Tangerines, etc... But give me your thoughts and ideas and I will see what I can do. Props and points to the best of the bestest.

P.S. Vegetarian salads - i.e. chicken, etc. - no such recipes, give me recipes without meat.

it doesn't say how long it takes? it just says stir and that's all, no chill, no serve, nothing. I would think all you do is stir and then it's done yet below it it says "for a quicker way do this", how can anything be quicker if the first option has no other steps
