OK...this is borderline rediculouse BUT if you were gonna have a little get-together for the start of the show Lost...what would you serve to eat? Keep in mind the food should go with the shows theme. It can be snacks...meals...drinks...etc. Thanks!

I offered to bring something to a friend's wedding reception because I felt sorry for her since she couldn't afford catering. I then found out that there are over 80 guests who have RSVP'd that they are coming. Plus I am sure some will come who did not RSVP. She had previously told me it would be a small wedding iwth not more than 20 or 30 people. Now I need to take something for 100+/- people I guess. Does anyone know of any inexpensive dishes I can make for that many people?

I had someone respond to one of my questions yesterday, and i need help with one of the items i need:

Old-fashioned Meat Loaf- A.K.A "Basic" Meatloaf
Recipe courtesy Paula Deen

1 pound ground beef
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
1 egg, lightly beaten
8 ounces canned diced tomatoes with juice
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats

It calls for quick-cooking oats... what are these? Should i just get regular quick cooking oatmeal?

I have got recipes for this before off the net, but these have always been based around hoisin sauce - which gives the end dish a brown colour.

I am looking for a recipe to produce a dish that at the end is a beautiful red colour, with a sticky, sweet/spicy flavour. I have this dish regularly and would love to know how it is made. I normally have it with King Prawn, but sometimes with chicken.

Thank you for your help.

Where on earth can I buy them? My mum used to make a delicious soup when I was a young lad and she'd put bacon ribs in it. It was amazing. But now I can't find them anywhere!!

I used to have an Indian boyfriend and had many meals cooked by his mother. I have never found a recipe that tastes anything like the wonderful curries she would cook up. Please could an Indian mum give me a recipe for a real traditional home cooked curry that I miss and have spent many years to replicate.
