I just bought three chicken breasts from my local butcher which has always been great. They looked fine, smelled fine, blah blah blah. I marinated them in Garlic, Salt, and Lemon Juice for three hours, then set them on a broiling pan to bake/broil. When I took them out to test, these weird green spots were all over the tops and sides. They are roundish and raised and almost a teal color. A few fell off when I poked them with a fork. The undersides of the chicken look kind of frozen and uncooked, but they were never frozen and baked for the full time I've always cooked chicken (well done). It is the ugliest chicken ever, and I'm going to take them back to the butcher but I wanted to know if anyone has seen this before? Is it some kind of hideous bacteria? Should I be concerned?

I want to make chocolate chip cookies (please don't suggest I make anything else, I'm 40 weeks pregnant and if I want chocolate chip then dammit I'm going to have chocolate chip, lol), but I don't have any brown sugar. I know that brown sugar is essentially white sugar with mollases, but I don't have any mollases either, so that's out of the question. I also don't have enough maple syrup to consider doing anything with that...the though already crossed my mind.

So my question for all of you is, do you have another substitution for brown sugar that will work well, or do you have a good brownsugar free chocolate chip cookie dough recipe?

I've always loved the orignal Nestle Toll House recipe (see below), but if I have to set it aside just this once, I'll do it.


2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup softened butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups chocolate chips

I mean for an everyday layperson (not a professional cook) who enjoys cooking. I hate sharpening knives, and money is not an issue. Looking for durability, sharpness, and style.

also looking for advantages/disadvantage to using ceramic, steel, japanese, etc.

I always "seer" or brown the roast first.
is there another way to help seal in the juice.
Everything tastse fine, just that the meat is dry.

Okay recently i have just started eating heavy whipping cream right before bed... (80 g's of fat & 800 cals) i am just curious as to what this might do?? Keep in mind my diet mostly consists of sweets, fried foods, burgers, fries, soda, etc. etc. the rest of the day... So i basically have already eaten around 4,000 cals before this and prolly 100ish g's of fat...

I am 17, male. 5'10 239lbs. & 49 in. waist.

So will this cream do a damn thing?

I have a new oven. I have been using a Jennair for years now the new one seems to burn the outside while the middle is not done. I use the same temperature settings as before. The more I experiment the results don't get mych better. What's going on.

What is the difference between chocolate fudge recipes that tell you to add marshmallow fluff, and recipes that tell you to add corn syrup instead? if you have had both, which one is better? are there any recipes on the internet that you have tried and have found to be very good, creamy, rich, smooth and chocolaty? thanks!
