Someone made this for me as a gift years ago ... after tasting it, I had to have the recipe ...it's the best!

CARAMEL POPCORN
32 cups popped popcorn (8 quarts)
2 cubes of margarine
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup dark karo syrup
1 tsp butter extract
1/2 tsp baking soda

Boil everything except popcorn for 5 mintues, stirring constantly. Pour over popcorn & stir. Bake 1 hour at 250 degrees, stirring every 15 minutes. Store in airtight container.
