I'm supposed to be on a very low fat diet per my doctor. I need ideas especially for veggies (cooked, I don't like raw). For lunch I have found some low fat meat (low fat hot dogs, chicken breast, etc.) I love cheese, are there any no fat or very low fat? I would like to put cheese on cooked veggies, or would like ideas for flavoring the veggies. Mostly I need ideas for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is kind of hard since I cook for my hubby & I and he is not on a restricted diet.

Cats,
Check out Cooking Light (www.CookingLight.com, the magazine at the grocery store or the annual cookbooks from the library).
They have low fat recipes, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything from vegetables with cheese to chili to lasagna.
Today I made some citrus scallops and they are delicious.

I think I have seen low fat cheeses, but they probably aren't very good. Cheese is fat. That's just the way it is.
If you have a grill, grill veggies. It adds a lot of flavor. A little lemon juice on veggies is nice, or a little balsamic vinegar. A balsamic reduction is a fat free way to add great flavor.
Fish poached in salsa is good, easy, and fat free. Salsa is a great thing to have around in general. You can put it on eggs in the morning.
Reduce orange juice and honey (and habeneros, if you like things spicy) to make a sauce you can put on chicken or tofu or anything you like.
Tomato sauces are low fat, so pasta or you could put it on chicken.
To make a lowfat vinegrette, you can thicken fruit juice with corn starch, and mix that with vinigar, and just a little bit of oil. Most salad dressings are mostly oil. If you do this kind, you can make it 1/4 oil instead.
If you like Thai food, thai salads use a dressing that is half fish sauce, half lemon juice. So that's fat free.
There's always clear soups.
You can always have sandwiches. Just don't put cheese on it, or use low fat, and stay away from mayo. Use mustard instead.
You can do pizza with tomato sauce and lots of veggies. Just use small amounts of lowfat cheese, or leave it off all together.
For breakfast do whole grain cereal with nonfat milk and fruit.
That's all I can think of right now. You should probably go find a good low-fat cook book since this is going to be a long term thing.

Marjorie Dawes from Fat Fighters recommends dust. Dust is low in fat, and you can eat as much as you like

If you like to grill the cookout calculator at charcoalbob.com makes it easy to do something lean for yourself (chicken breast, pork chop, etc.) something beefy for your husband and still have everything come off the grill at the same time grilled the way each of you like it.
