My mom used to make the best crab pa te', but she passed away and I lost the recipe. It had cream cheese, crab, spices, green onions etc. in it. It is delicious, but I can't remember what else. If anyone knows, can you please give details? I would love to make it for my husband.

All the websites tell me 'don't cook with a wine you wouldn't drink' - - since I'm allergic to the sulfites in wine, I don't drink it.
So I'm totally stuck on what I need to buy for a chicken francais recipe that calls for 'dry white wine'. Is there a brand? a type? - I really know nothing about what to buy.
As for the allergies, the sulfites are gone due to the cooking process so I can eat the meal I am making.
Please help. Thank you.

I have a bunch of meatballs in my freezer, and I was looking for ideas on what to make with them. I have already done spagetti, swedish meatballs, and subs, so I'm looking for some different suggestions.

I belong to a group that does a Holiday Breakfast with Santa each year. We have previously had hash brown patties, but have the problem with them sticking together after they are cooked and waiting to be served. I suggested using bulk hash browns. After cooking them, how can be keep them crispy and warm while waiting to be served?

I have 2lbs of prime venison from a Scottish Big Red shot just before Christmas and also a large fresh pheasant shot just last week. I have been trained as a chef a while ago and worked front of house in haute cuisine for many years so know a few British and French recipes for each but I'd love to try something a little out of the ordinary. What can people suggest? Inspire me!

PS. Recipes for pheasant and venison only please. I don't want anybody trying to convince me to turn veggie or telling me "Here's what you could try if you had some alligator meat instead."

I tend to buy McCoys multi pack's which include

2x salted,2x cheddar & onion and 2x salt & malt vinegar.

Although I can take the odd pack of salt & malt vinegar mainly they just get binned.

Is there any way possible to remove the vinegar from the crisps as to make them platible just like the salted variety.

I've tryed steeping them in water then putting them in the oven with some success but mainly most remain soggy and I bin them anyway.

Any tips would be helpful

Thank's

I have a bag of Dole Spring Mix salad kit. According to the bag it contains a blend of baby lettuces, greens, endive, and radicchio. I just don't feel like eating another salad anymore, and don't want this to go to waste. Can I use these in some kind of soup? How?
