Vegetable oil boils at approximately 400° F. However, the important consideration in cooking with oils is the smoke point. The smoke point of oils varies widely and generally you want to fry using oil with a high smoke point. For this reason peanut oil is one of the best with a smoke point of 440°.

cooking oil should never boil. Cook at or around 325. It will smoke and burst into flame before it boils

The oil with the highest smoke point is Avacado at 520f then comes almond at 495f and several at 450f (peanut, corn)

In the superstore, fruits are usually picked out far too soon. Some are rocks, many are bitter. Some of the fruit and vegetables are generally right (zucchini, onions, garlic, lettuce, greens, and a few others) so I'd have to go with vegetables.
