I answered a similar question only an hour ago....here goes again:
It's a great quick and easy family meal...
Chop an onion and some mushrooms, brown them with the mince.
I usually pour off the fat at this point.
Add 1 large can of beef or oxtail soup and a good pinch of mixed herbs. I don't normally use carrot, but you could dice it and add it here. If you don't have the soup you could use beef gravy granules and water.
Simmer for 10-15 mins.
Add a large can of baked beans and heat through.
Goes with anything - baked/boiled/roast/mashed potatoes, rice, pasta, even chunks of bread

We have this for dinner quite a lot. My partner is from Argentina and his mother cooked it for us when she was here. You might need to pop out and get a tin of lentils but give it a go:
Fry onion & garlic until soft. Add minced beef. Cook some rice in a saucepan. When beef is cooked tip in a (drained) can of green lentils) and then add the cooked rice. Add salt to taste and stir well for 2-3 mins and serve. It doesn't sound much but it is really tasty and filling. My partner has it with cheese on top and it is nice!!

Cook those basic ingredients adding a tin of tomatoes
and a splash of hot pepper sauce just to give it a kick.
Make a cottage pie but put grated cheese over it too and
it all adds to the flavour. Some nice crispy roast potatoes
and french beans make this a nice supper.
