The menu says "Jerk seared" What does that mean is it relatively easy/possible to do at home? Can you tell that someone else cooks for me?

Fresh mushrooms are usually in a bin, loose in the produce department in the food stores. People including me choose and pick through them with our dirty hands. Can't help that! With all the nasty little bugs out there, I want to of course clean/wash them. I have soaked them and then they become squishy and get soggy. Is there a safe way to clean them properly. Of course cooking them with chicken and fish kills any bugs, but sometimes we love them raw in salads. Any tips?

Somebody asked "How do you fix lamb chops?"
Answer: Find sheep that is less than 1-year old(lamb). Kill lamb. Dismember animal. Trim excess fat from lamb chops. Mix orange zest and thyme into a paste. Add mustard and brown sugar. Mix together. Preheat grill. Brush about half of the mixture onto each side of the chops and place on hot grill for about 2 minutes per side

I'm making cookies based on a recipe from my grandma. However I'm remembering it as best I can and I think I am a little off because the cookie mix is way too crumbly.

It is 1 cup butter, 1/2 cup white sugar and 2 cups white flour.

What can I add to make it smoother?
