I make a good meatloaf, but it turns out slightly different each time (!) and I use different things each time, too. So I will take a try at measurements but feel free to use more or less.
3/4 pound ground beef -- 98% sirloin
one medium onion, diced and cooked in butter (not all the way just to start it cooking because I don't like white chunks of onion)
1 egg
black pepper
parsley flakes
Italian seasonings (if the BBQ sauce is very spicy or chipoltle flavored, omit this)
1/2 cup BBQ sauce or ketchup
parsley flakes
1/2 cup bread crumbs, leftover party type crackers or 2-3 slices of bread crumbled in the food processor
Mix together, adding more bread crumbs if it seems too wet. It should not be totally dry, but not too wet either. This is the time other people top the raw meat with a sauce of half ketchup and half mustard, but what is the point of a meatloaf with no crust? Add it towards the end if you want to. Or some more of the BBQ sauce.
Place in a loaf pan OR a casserole dish in a mound shape and bake at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes.
I hope I remembered everything.

use some garlic powder, pepper and seasoned salt, 1 egg, some crushed saltine crackers, and 1 or 2 small cans of tomato sauce mix into the ground beef with you hands(this is just so that you can be sure that the crushed crackers are evenly mixed) place in the baking dish and cook it for about 45-60 minutes at 375. The inside will look a redish color but that is from the tomato sauce. It adds lots of flavor and keeps the meatloaf from drying out. If it doesn't gross you out, try the raw meatloaf to see if any more spices need to be added, this is how I do it. But add what you want of each spice. Everyone likes to spice things a bit differently. Good luck.

1 small onion, chopped
2 eggs
3/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 slices bacon
1 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons vinegar
3/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, mix together ground beef, crushed crackers, onion, eggs, 3/4 cup ketchup, and 1/4 cup brown sugar until well blended. Press into a 9x5 inch loaf pan. Lay the two slices of bacon over the top.
Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven, or until cooked through. While the loaf bakes, mix together the remaining 1 cup ketchup, vinegar, salt, mustard and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Spread over the top of the meat loaf for the last 15 minutes of baking.

Basically, meatloaf ingredients fall into 4 categories: meat, flavoring, binder/filler (what our grandmothers used to stretch the meat), and bonuses.
Meat: I like half turkey and half ground beef, with a little turkey Italian sausage if I've got it (1/4 pound for each 2 pounds).
Flavoring: worcestershire, grated onion, fresh parsley, ketchup, salt, pepper, and grill seasoning (just a dash).
Binder/filler: I use anything I've got on hand -- quick oats, bread crumbs, saltines, leftover rice, etc., about 1/2 cup - 3/4 cup, plus 1 or 2 eggs.
Bonuses: My mother always put shredded carrot in her meatloaf, and it's pretty traditional. You can also do chopped peppers, spinach, whatever.
Bake in a pan that's safe for use on the stovetop if you're planning on making gravy -- but I'm a ketchup girl myself.

Start with about 2 lb of lean ground chuck-(sirloin is too dry and grd beef is too greasy)
Add a pack of McCormick's meatloaf seasoning and follow the directions.(which incl. bread crumbs and water or milk to add)
Add some chopped bell peppers (optional)
Add 1/4 C. Hunt's 57 sauce
Add about 2 tbsp. Worcestershire and bake at 375 for about 40 min or until juices run clear.
Halfway thru, you may want to poke the top with a fork a few times to allow juices to run off.
When done, pour off drippings and top with a glaze made of 1C catsup, 1/4C brown sugar, and a dash of Liquid Smoke ( or any hickory flavored liquid seasoning)
When I cook, I just do i and don't measure anything. These are approximates
