Use Cocoa Krispies instead of Rice Krispies. The recipes that use Karo syrup and peanut butter instead of marshmallows are, in my opinion, much better. Also good without the choc/bs topping.
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup light Karo syrup or other corn syrup
1 cup sugar
6 cups Rice Krispies
1 (6 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (6 ounce) package butterscotch chips
1. Mix peanut butter, Karo syrup, and sugar in a pot, and bring to a slight boil. Stir until creamy.
2. Take mixture off the burner, and mix with Rice Krispies cereal.
3. Spread mixture in 13 x 9 inch pan.
4. Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips together in microwave (start with 1-2 minutes, then, stirring intermittently, 30-second intervals until melted).
5. Spread melted chips over Rice Krispie mixture.
6. Refrigerate until chocolate-butterscotch mixture hardens (very quick, about 30 minutes).
7. Cut into 2x2-inch squares. Enjoy!

Melt 1 stick margarine with 1 pkg. mini marshmallows
When completely melted, pour over 1 box cocoa krispies.
Add 1 pkg. M&M's or red hots. Put all in a buttered bundt pan and press down firmly. Allow to cool. Take out of the pan and place on a cake plate. Melt 1/2 cup chocolate chips and drizzle over the cake. Decorate with candy leaves and red hots to resemble holly on a tree.
May substitute popcorn or any cold presweatened cereal for the cocoa krispies. Try it with fruity pebbles. It's great
