The pancakes from McDonalds are also good, but how do I make them from scratch? I haven't found too many restaurants that make pancakes like those.

I do not have a stove or full size oven. I have a toaster oven, burner to cook things in, crockpot, microwave, george forman grill, etc..... Can you still roast things like a turkey or ham. My friend told me you can make a turkey breast in a toaster oven.

Well...making stuffing ahead--always do (no I don't stuff the bird).

Made creamed onions, will toast them up after turkey comes out.

Pecan pie...check....pumpkin pies....check.

Now I am wondering if I can do the corn pudding ahead...baked as well and simply heat through tomorrow.

Like most I have one oven (I now see why those double ovens were soo popular in the 60's and 70's) and with rolls, appetizers, etc I need to do as much as possible today.

What do you think? Corn pudding today or tomorrow?

Thanks have a great holiday!

I have heard that you can place an open/punctured beer can inside a turkey along with vegs, when roasting. This is supposed to make the turkey very moist and tender. Anyone ever hear of it?

I bought an 18lb frozen turkey on Monday and it has been defrosting in my fridge since then. It still seems to have a ways to go - is it safe to leave it out of the fridge to thaw overnight the night before cooking? Are there any other methods?

Thanks!

I can't seem to find a ring to save the crust while the pie is cooking & i have already tried to use foil to cover the crust, but it got stuck to the crust & pulled some of it off when i removed it.Is there some sort of trick to that? Would a light layer of oil or butter keep the foil from sticking?Or would it burm quicker that way? Also, the crust are pre made frozen ones.Any advice is GREATLY Appreciated. Many Thanks in Advance.Be Blessed! Monie

I've seen alot of recipes for sweet potato pie/caserole, but they all ask for canned sweet potatos. When i went grocery shopping last week i had picked up Yams. Can I find a recipe for sweet potato caserole using yams instead of the canned sweet potatos covered in heavy syrup?
