The pancakes from McDonalds are also good, but how do I make them from scratch? I haven't found too many restaurants that make pancakes like those.

The question was "How do you make pancakes like Denny's or IHOP from scratch? Not "How did your granny or Indians make pancakes?" or "How do you read the side of a Bisquick box" or "What is your opinion of Denny's pancakes?"Jeeze! Can't People stay on topic any more??? I came to this site with the same question; but thanks for all the non-answers!

believe it or not. the recipe on the bisquick box makes the best pancakes. Make sure you follow the directions, dont over mix them, the batter should be lumpy and if you can find buttermilk where you live, that's what gives their pancakes the tenderness and the taste that they do have.
You can also make pancakes from scratch, but with the mix and everything already done for you, it's not worth it. Also real butter and good syrup make the difference between good pancakes and awesome ones.
