No. Bacteria is likely to grow on the outside before the inside is thawed. I heard an interview this morning on the radio with someone from the Butterball Hotline that the only safe way to quick-thaw a turkey is in the sink in COLD water. Change the water often. It will take about 1/2 hour per pound to thaw this way. If it has already been started in the fridge, it shouldn't take that long - I wouldn't think.

Defrost in the fridge or cold water. This site will give you the "thaw time" depending on the size of the bird. Happy Thanksgiving.

No. It will make you sick if you do that. Defrost it in cold water. Submerge it in a sink of cold water (keep the wrapper on), and change the water every 1/2 hour. I would guess you have about six pounds worth of defrosting to go, so doing this for three hours should work.

I would finalize and accelerate the thawing process now by keeping it immersed in a sink full of cold to warm water until completely defrosted/thawed.

Probably not a good idea...(salmonella) You can put it in the sink and cover it with COLD water, changing the water every 1/2 hour and it will be okay.
