Let the turkey sit at room temperature for 20 minutes or so. That way the pan can warm up a little & meat cooks better when it's not fridge cold.

It depends on what the pan is made of. If it's oven-safe metal, no problem. If it's Pyrex or Corningware, no problem. If it was just on a serving dish, don't do it.

Sure. But it will cause the temperature in your pre-heated oven to drop drastically and it will take much longer to get done. Better to let it sit out at room temp while the oven pre-heats. It will save you time in the long run.

pressing!! it extremely is not risky, however the heating of the frost on the cookie sheet will create steam, that could shrink to rubble your cookies. i could supply it a shot, only save a watch on the oven.
