I like the type with the crunchy toffee bits best. Not too keen on dates (the fruit not the pastime).

I just discovered today while cleaning the crisper, that I have THIRTEEN lemons. I used one to make salad dressing, and will use one more for hollandaise. I need ideas on how to use these up in the next couple days. I don't need recipes, just ideas so I can look those up myself.

PLEASE DON'T SAY LEMONADE!

I want to start with a typical frozen whole turkey, and make a "smoked turkey" at home in a conventional oven.

I've seen many recipes for each dish cooked separately, but I'd prefer to throw the pork and green beans together into the pot in the morning and then, not have to deal with the dish again until I get back home in the evening (I'd check-in at lunchtime).

Most recipes for cooking the beans call for adding a lot of water- which I probably would not want to do if I was cooking the pork by itself. So how can I remedy the situation and cook both the pork & green beans at the same time? Has anyone here ever done that with success?

Thank you.

I am looking for a certain one and don't have a clue as to what the name of it is. I do know somethings that goes into the cookie. I also know that they are soooo good.

There are chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, small bits of white chocolate. I don't know what "kind" the cookie is that these go into, and the cookies are soft and chewy and light tan when baked. Does anybody have any clue as to what kind of cookie this is. A guy from where I use to work at brought them to work for some of us from time to time and he would never tell us what all was in them. If you know which one it is, I would sure like to get the recipe for it. Thank you.

Should I give a starch and veggies, or just veggies? The pastry will be a seafood wellington-esque thing with a creamy sauce.

I went to a restaurant last night and had the most beautiful stuffed butternut squash. I know nothing of this veg though I have made soup with it before. The squash was stuffed with stilton, mushrooms, peppers....but that is as much as I know. I wish I could make it myself but am at a loss at where to begin.

I would love some info on this lovely veg and if you can give me any recipies I would love that too.

Many thanks in advance.

Good afternoon,

I am thinkingabout buying my brother a collection of cookbooks. Willing to spend up to $100. What is a good collection? Thinking of getting some ingredient specifed-fish, chicken, vegetable, breakfast/bruch, soups as well as some ethnic cooking books-italian, greek, mexican, middle eastern, asian.

Would it be better to get 1 large book that has various chapters specializing in type of food or a seperate book for each type of cuisine?

specific titles would be helpful. thank you.
