Deep Cleaning
Prepare a baking soda paste by mixing 1/2 cup baking soda with 3 tablespoons water.
Apply baking soda paste to desired areas and let sit for 15-20 minutes. Scrape off excess paste using the Nylon Pan Scraper. Rinse and dry thoroughly before storing.

Rinse it in a lot of HOT HOT water for about 10 minutes. Dry it and then bake with again and see if the metal taste is still there. If it is (and I am not sure why a metal pan would do that) you might have to throw it away. I have set metal and cast iron pans on my stones and have never had that happen before.

No...don't use soap! Rub an oil (canola or olive) on it and let it sit for a few hours. Then rinse it with hot water. Let it air dry. Bake something on it, like the previous person answered, throw it away, then try again.

Hot soapy water and scrub with baking soda then rinse thoroughly with hot water with 1 tablespoon white vinegar - heat dry and then try baking on it if still metallic - it's a good trivet or use for baking lined with parchment. Good Luck!

Oooh, metal flavor. not good.

I'd suggest baking a roll of canned biscuits, pitching them, then seeing if a second batch tatses metallic. If so, pitch it. If not, maybe the metal flavor went to the first thing you baked on it.
