I have some family coming to visit this weekend and i wanted to make snickerdoodle cookies, i was thinking of making them today, is it too soon to make them if they arent coming till friday? will they still be good my then? i really wanted to make them today.

No way, you should totally bake them today! When they are cool put them in an airtight container in the freezer. Thursday night take them out and set them on the counter. If they aren't as soft as you want them to be on Friday morning, throw a slice of plain white bread in the container and close it back up. In a couple of hours, they'll be soft and chewy again.

If you seal them tightly they should be fine or you can bake them and freeze them and take them out on Friday. My next door neighbor freezes cookies all the time and they taste like just out of the oven when thawed. If I made cookies today for guests on Friday there is no WAY that there would be any left on Friday! :o)

no you should make them on thursday or friday how about friday about 2 hours before they get there cause by time they get there the cookies hsould be done

It would be better to bake them near the day they are coming, that way they are stil soft and chewey. Good Luck Babe.

it's definitely not too late! i love baking snickerdoodles:) it's an easy recipe; they also freeze well.
