I heard that you can substitute the same amount of Splenda for sugar in any recipe and you shouldn't be able to tell the difference. Is this true? Any good or bad experiences?

i always remember the outstanding flavor of the black pepper mushroom s that an old neighbor brought to my home for a NewYears party. I am looking for recipe- they were plain button capped mushrooms ...maybe sauteed in a little butter/white wine?? a generously covered in black pepper. when I fist saw them, i thought - ooo too much pepper... but when i ate them, i loved each bite. anyone have a similar recipe please?

I am not American, but live here currently; my parents will come to visit me next week and I want to make a traditional American Thanskgiving dinner for them. What are traditional & historic Thanksgiving dishes? (all I know is turkey and cranberry sauce...)

PS- you dont have to give recipes, I will dig them up online; just give me an idea what I should make.

My husband's birthday is coming up in a few days and I live three hours away from any places like Cold Stone or Dairy Queen where they have them pre-made. He likes caramel and chocolate alot so if they are in the mix, it would be helpful.

Does anyone know how to make these Greek Cookies that I am dying to find....they are not anything you get in any Greek Restaurant that I have been to...a friend of mines mom made them when I was young...They are almost like a Biscotti texture and are quite plain in flavour maybe a hint of orange...She made them in a 1/2 moon sort of shape...maybe she made it in a "log" shape and then cut it...if you solve this you have solved a 20 year mystery...thanks

I got this recipe from a friend of mine but I really don't dig horseradish and my husband has a bad tummy so was wondering what ingredient can I replace the horseradish with.

Hot Crab Dip

Preheat oven to 325 F. Butter a 2-cup ovenproof small baking pan!

Puree in a food processor all 6 items until smooth:
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
¼ cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoons minced onion
1 teaspoon drained horseradish
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon salt
Scrape into a bowl puree mix.

Then fold in :
One 6-ounce can of crabmeat, drained

Pour into buttered baking pan.

If desired, sprinkle on top with:
Slivered almonds

Bake until heated through, about 25 minutes.

Serve with:
CRACKERS
