I ate some butternut squash stuff at Kenny Rogers roaster which is almost a desert. It is creamed, baked and it had some brown crumbly stuff on top. I just can't find any recipes that sound like it. Help!

Boil/roast butternut squash. Mash them, add butter, maple syrup and some brown sugar. I sometimes add nutmeg and cinnamon to mine. For the crumbly stuff on top, just add some cinnamon sugar or just butter and brown sugar.
If you want more exact recipes, you can also visit other recipe websites like allrecipes.com, foodnetwork or recipezaar.com. They have tons of stuff using butternut squash.

butternut is not something you tamper too much with, its also hard finding the right one, cause some arent as sweet as the real good ones. anyways jus cut it in half, smear some unsalted butter on it and bake it, that brown stuff might have been carmalised suger or cinamon, take your pick. or you could just ask the waiter how it was prepared, its their job to let you knoe how its done.
