My husband is a truck driver and is on low-sodium diet. Any good ideas for food that he can take that will follow this diet? He is not a big fruit eater. Any ideas willbe greatly appreciated! Thanks, ahead of time.

Tomatoes, you and your health

Here's some reasons why you should add tomatoes into your diet:

1. They are loaded with antioxidants including Lycopene
2. Tomatoes are an excellent source of Vitamin C...and that's linked
to a reduced risk of heart disease, stroke and so forth
3. And, a tomato is a good source of Vitamin A, great for healthy hair and skin...
and for drivers...night vision.

Stop using canned or prepackaged foods. Cook with fresh vegetables and fresh meats. It's that simple. Use any recipe you wish. Just don't add salt. Find spices he likes and use them. Click on the Pleasoning below and look for the original Pleasoning. It's a combination of spices that replaces the salt flavor most people crave. It's the best I've found. For more tips, email me.

Good luck.

what about vegetables? Carrots, celery, cucumbers, broccoli, can be cut up and put into a sandwich bag. Crackers (LOW SODIUM OF COURSE) oops sorry forgot I hit the caps button. There are low sodium soups he can eat. My dad has to watch what he eats and lots of times I usually cut up veggies and fruits for him to eat during the day. I hope this helped a little bit.
