Cornbread stuffing or white bread stuffing.
Mashed potatoes are a favorite.
Green beans are also a favorite.
Corn on the cob is another favorite.
You could make a fresh vegetable tray of carrots, celery, broccoli for guests to munch on until main dinner is served.
Don't leave out rolls.
Another favorite is pumpkin pie or apple pie.
Some people really love sweet potato cassarole with the marshmallows on top.
You could really use what you enjoy eating at other times throughout the year. You can also substitute ham for turkey if you wish.
Man, I am getting hungry.

but if you want to be traditional turkey
and you have to put stuffing in the turkey
dont by boxed stuffing there are great recipes out there
yep and we always have fruit salad
and i dont know what it is really called but my family calls it sweet potato soufle
it is really good we always make that
it is my favorite dish
if you cant find a recipe i could email you one
oh and mashed potatoes and gravy
mmmm my mouth is watering yum yum
we always make our gravy from the grease left in the bottem of the pan we cook the turkey in is is really good
oh and pies cant forget the pies
we always have lots of different kinds
cherry, pumpkin, apple, pecan, peach
and we usually have a salad
sometimes ceasar
with croutons, shredded carrots, parmesan cheese, and bacon bits

Along with the turkey and cranberry sauce, I'd say you should serve some of the following dishes: stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, noodles, green bean casserole or green beans and bacon, dinner rolls, candied sweet potatoes, cornbread salad, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, apple pie, pumpkin roll.

Well for my family other Thanksgiving staples include:
Sweet Potatoes
Yams
Green Bean Casserole
Pumpkin Pie
Apple Pie
Stuffing with wild rice
Ambrosia Salad
But I am Canadian...I'm not sure if there is any difference to our Thanksgiving.

Mashed potatoes; sweet potatoes/ yams; dressing or stuffing (depending on the region of the country you're in - dressing is more traditional in the south); green beans; green salad; dinner rolls (the packaged kind are ok); pumpkin pie. Other desserts are good to have too. Enjoy!

Mashed Potatoes. Add sour cream and some Derky Fried onions to them along with butter and a little milk. Bake at 350 for about 1/2 hour covered.

Aside from the turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing/dressing are a must! Green bean casserole, rolls and butter, tossed green salad. Cranberry relish or salad.
