My fiance and I are spending christmas day just the two of us, as it is our first christmas in our home. We would like to cook something different on christmas day, rather than the traditonal meal as it is just the two of us. Has anyone got any ideas as to what we can cook? Anything other than a turkey would be nice! Thanks. x

The last 2 years we have had absolutely horrible Thanksgiving experiences. This year I am buying a Honeybaked Ham and would like to make some wonderful side dishes and desserts.

What would you suggest?

I know most store bought cornmeal mix has wheat flour in it.
I need to make cornbread dressing with my turkey, but am new to the wheat free, gluten free thing. My son can't have that.

I'm looking for a recipe for something called Celestial Chicken. Did a search and found the dish, but not the recipe. It's chicken that is lightly floured and fried and served over a bed of rice with some kind of white sauce. Can anyone help? This was my fiancee's childhood favorite recipe and I'd love to make it for him!

While I'm from the south myself, I've got a more exotic palette. My fiancee, however, is "just a good ol' boy from Alabama".
I need some southern-style comfort food recipes to please him! He nearly puked when I made curried chicken the other day! HELP!!!! :)

I cannot decide between a small cheaper model, or the kitchenaid750 or 760. I am frugal and don't want to waste$40 only to find I need to spend $200. However, I don't want to spend a lot to find that I have less counter space with a processor that is inferior. Primary reasons for purchasing processor are as follows; Chopping nuts, making hummus, chopping vegetables such as bell peppers, onions, celery, zuchini, broccolli, cabbage, and lettuce. I also make a lot of homeade vinegar and oil dressings.
Any help with your opinion would be appreciated.
