Look at the package and the number of squares. If there are 8 squares and the package is 8 oz, then yes...if there are 16 squares and the package is 16 oz, then yes.

Divide the package OZ by the number of squares

One square of (wrapped) baker's chocolate=1 oz That's the kind wrapped in paper though their are usually to pieces of chocolate in each individually wrapped square. And just follow the recipe if you're not used to baking. Though I suggest Ghirardelli chocolate, I use it all my baking.

I have a box of Baker's Unsweetened Chocolate. On the back of the box it says that each square is 1 ounce. ( That's the square that's individually wrapped in paper).

Hope that helps you!

You should check out the website too, if you have the time.

Yes. It's usually divided into 2 partitions, that you can break on the seam. But what is individually wrapped = 1 oz.
