I am making some oatmeal cookies and just realized, half way through making the batch, that I am out of eggs. Is there anything I could use as a substitute? I really don't feel like running to the store.

I started making them for my own children and now others are requesting them. I love doing it so I do not mind, but was wondering what reasonable compensation would be for a character shaped cake. Has anyone sold one before?

I like to cook breakfast on Saturday morning. I use flour, baking soda, milk, salt and cut in some butter with a pastry thingy. They always come out flat and hard enough to kill small animals. Help!!

Our eggs must now be keep cold. Why? When did this become a lthing to do? When i cook i take my eggs out of the refrigerator and let them become room temp. If i know that i am going to use them i sometimes dont even put them away, i leave them out on the counter. Also i try to buy fresh eggs from the farmers market when i can. Plus is it true that store eggs are bleached?
