Does any one know what kind of fruit or ingredient that would complement lemon in a desert?

Lemon goes with almost anything. It's great with almonds, custards (think creme caramel with lemon curd), berries, even chocolate - especially white chocolate. The acidity and tartness of lemon offsets the sweetness of a dessert, accentuating both aspects.

coconut, pecans, cherry, cream cheese, blueberry, raspberry, or even poppyseed are all good in different lemon desserts
