It was a reicpe my grandma used to make it had fish broth, with a tomato base and light lemon taste. It was like a soup served over rice.

Cooks and cheese connoiseurs, I need your help. Can you eat Brie's skin? I ate it before and it doesn't taste as good as the cheese. I am trying to make Brie en croute. Should I remove the skin first?

I'm making cookies and it calls for 1 C. butter, softened. I don't have butter or even margarine on hand. But I have shortening, olive oil and canola oil. Which would be the best to use.

my parents are coming down from upnorth to help me out with some things. They have been wonderful to me and I want to thank them by trying to make dumplings like my Moms. She hasnt made them in years and my dad loves them!

She would make chicken soup and drop a dough like mixture into boiling water to cook and that would be the dumplings.

Anyone know this kind of Dumpling?? Thanks!

I'm trying to eat better, but it's hard when every recipe book I come across wants me to make these strange combinations of egg frittas and asparagus with hummus (whatever that is).

I'm looking for relatively healthy, tasty recipes that you can make with things that are likely to already be in your kitchen.

(Post your recipes even if they're not particularly healthy! I'm putting together a personal cookbook and want to try one new recipe a week!)

I'm trying to cook healthier for my family. I am looking for healthy, yet kid friendly (i have a six year old son) recipes. A bonus would be if they had a menu builder, but I won't ask for too much.
