I sometimes make stovies i.e Cut potatoes, Turnip, Onion, Carrots, Link Sausages with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Put in a large pot and bring to boil then simmer for 30 mins.

I would like recipes which are easy like this one. Thanks to all who reply.

I live in Scotland and I'm willing to try something from abroad.

I bought the canned sauce for pasta, scrambled some beef with butter and onion, poured the pasta in, heat it till it bubbles a little.

Then I boiled the spaghetti and poured the souce on it.

But it tastes bland....or not as good as the ones I had in Italian restuarant. I thought the sauce is already seasoned. What can I do to improve the taste?

Thank you!!

Hi! I am from india. My three year old twins are getting very fussy in their eating habits. I have run out of innovating simple recepies for them. Can anyone with kids suggest some quick, tried and tested recepies? Even some snacks would do if not the main meal.

We have legs of mutton packed in rock salt. We have done this with beef before and must have left it too long as it is a bit too salty and hard. We would like to get it right this time.

I had this paperback book in the 70's . It was a daft book that told you how to make sandwiches LOL, I guess that's why I never kept it, but i wish I could remember how the recipe went for the Mincemeat Slices.

I'm deathly allergic to peanut butter but have many recipes I'd like to try that call for it. Are there any good substitutes that I could use? Also, I don't want it to taste anything like peanut butter because that will scare me.

I accidently left my tub of real butter (not margerine) setting out all night last night, so I need to know if it is spoilt? I smelled it and it smells kind of funny, but I've never took the time to do that before, so I don't know what it is supposed to smell like.

I'd had a recipe from a College Inn recipe book, yes College Inn soup recipe book, for a no bake cheesecake. One of the ingredients was cottage cheese and it was decorated with kiwi fruit and strawberries. Does anyone know the recipe that I'm talking about and if so, where can I get the recipe for it?
