NO, cast iron is the better of the dutch oven materials. Alluminum can release toxins into you rfood if the temperature gets too high. The cleaning is more difficult and they can't stay seasoned.

No cast iron dutch ovens are much better as they distribute the heat evenly and hold heat a lot longer.

Aluminum is OK but you are better off with cast iron. Aluminum can interact with certain types of foods while cast iron does not do that.

If you have Aluminum cook wear, throw it out or sell it for scrap. It is nasty stuff. Perhaps the cause of Alshimers Disease, Food Poisoning and Metal Poisoning. It also discolors food and ruins the flavor. Toss it !
