How many calories are in the kind of chili you make at home? I usually have a small bowl [about a cup].

This is tricky because we don't know what you put in your chili, but if it has meat in it, probably around 340...and if it was just with beans...probably around 250.

Go to calorie-count.com...this website is sooo awesome. I use it all the time to look up how many calories in a cucumber...in 1 gram of sugar...versus 1 gram of honey...it is such an extensive database. I really like it. Plus it also has a calculator to tell you how many calories you burned while doing certain exercises...like mowing the lawn...working at the computer...driving...everything! Go there for further inquiries about calories because it will have everything you need to know! Hope I helped!

How awkward, my dad is cooking chili right now!

Anyway, it depends on the brand of chili, the size (and I know you said about a cup), and what's in the chili. If you're using brand made chili, try checking the label on the back and it'll tell you the calories. If it's homemade, try calculating all of the calories from the ingredients together.

Can't answer properly without more info...does it have beans? what type of meat, pork, beef, chicken, tomatoes in it, cheese? or is it just good greasy, spicy chili? you can run from around 200-1000 calories per cup depending in ingredients!

Depends on the chili. Fewer in veggie chili, more if it has beef...

The "chili you make at home"? Have you been cooking long?
