When a recipie calls for a sauce made from the meat juices left in the frying pan, the meat is often transferred to a plate to be 'kept warm'. There are a few recipies with sauces that need at least 15 minutes for the broth to reduce down, during which my steaks or lamb chops will cool down no matter how much foil I wrap around it or keep it under a hot light. Is there a way to keep the meat hot enough so that it tastes like it came hot off the grill? Or are those recipies assuming the meat is suppose to be a little bit cooled when served?

I am a single dad with 2 little girls who like variety in their meals( me too!) I love to cook for them but as much food as I buy, I'm not sure what to make with it. Where are the best websites for recipes or online cooking advice or tips. Different ethnic meals would be awesome. Thanx for any advice U can give.

I have a choice between a propane gas stove and an electric stove. In the past, I have never liked gas for baking cakes etc. as the temperature fluctuations are too dramatic. I understand that the new (self-cleaning) gas ovens are better insulated and retain heat better. I have never used propane at all.
By contrast I have always liked electric baking. (I've never used a convection oven.) I do not like electric stove tops however and much prefer gas for that.
I only have room for 1 stove and can't split the two--as much as I would like to a gas stove top and electric oven.
I you find the new gas ovens OK for baking, I'd really like to know. If there is a disadvantage to propane over natural gas, please let me know that too.

I am looking for a chocolate chip cookie recipe for soft, chewy chocolate chip cookies. I like them fluffy and soft -- not hard and crunchy, so if anyone has a recipe fitting this description could you please share it with me?

My last question about food wasn't clear so I will explain. My step son loves to cook, and I bought us matching chef coats and hats, last week we made chicken parmesean and it was great and easy to make. Any suggestions of recipes that are easy and delicious that I could make with him. Not looking for hot pockets or reservations
