I want to make a whipping pound cake and I only have 5 eggs, can I still make the cake? Do I have to put anything for a substitution for the one missing egg? Like baking powder, the recipe does not call for baking powder.

Preferably a recipe that you've tried -- not just a cut & paste from a recipe site. Thanks!

I would absolutely love to know how you make butterscotch tart from school (Sutton High School for Girls in Surrey). It is most definitely not the same as Gary Rhodes' so-called Gypsy Tart (I made this abomination at the weekend and it's vile). Would it have been a packet mix or was it an actual recipe? The question about the Chocolate Splodge has prompted this, but it's been on my mind for years!!! It was on a pastry base and had a lovely creamy golden filling with a fab piped star of fake cream on the top. Please help! Thanks xxx

I love to cook, but on nights when both my husband and I work, we tend to have leftovers, something boxed or something frozen. I want to be able to whip something up with hardly any prep time, but not look like it came from a box.

I'm all about presentation -- what do you make in a pinch, but you know it'll impress your family or friends?

I am going camping soon and I want cooking ideas that do not involve equipment more the foil or sticks. Also any info on foods the will keep for a day or two without a fridge. And how long will eggs/meat things of that nature last?

I used to know someone who made these awesome sugar cookies and I remember she said there was sour cream in the recipe. I have never heard of putting sour cream in cookies so I have no idea how to approach making these cookies, but they were awesome and I want to try. Any ideas?

Ive cooked baby backs for years and always removed the membrane on the backside. Not sure if spare rib racks have the same thing or not.

I know that olive oil is extrememly healthy for your body and especially your heart. But..frying with it..is it still healthy?

Then that would make french fries healthy? Why wouldn't restuarants change to olive oil instead of using lard and conola?
