Viva Italian Mushroom Kabob
Amount Ingredient
16 ounces fresh mushrooms (quartered)
2 bunches green onions
32 ounce bottle Viva Italian dressing
Preparation Instructions:
In a gallon zip lock, add first 4 ingredients. Let set in fridge overnight or at least all day.
When ready to cook, mushroom
Barbecue or bake, turning often, for 45 minutes or until done.
You can lower fat content by using turkey bacon and low fat Viva Italian dressing. We really like it with the turkey bacon. Recipe made up by LaDonna Reed. It is also fun to put these on kabob sticks. Put some par boiled red potatoes, pearl onions, green pepper chunks with them. Makes a really nice presentation and it tastes good.

Mushroom Kabob Appetizers Recipe
A nice low-sodium appetizer if you have a grill. Use more thyme if you like; I particularly like thyme but other herbs could be substituted. Serve the mushrooms by themselves or with some of the marinade as dipping sauce. Cooking time is marination time.
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons plain nonfat yogurt or low-fat sour cream
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon thyme, to taste
1/8 teaspoon cayenne
1/2 lb large button mushrooms
