Here's the 11 herb's and spices in the Colonel's original recipe.

1.salt
2.black pepper
3.Cayenne powder
4.garlic salt or powder
5.onion salt or powder
6.parsley
7.rosemary
8.oregano
9. paprika
10.sage
11.thyme

Hope this helps but the true secret is in the proportions! To find this you have to dig deep, it's not easy to find the real one or you can just ask me. Ha Ha! Most of the copy cats use cheats like salad dressing mixes or instant soup packs. It sounded to me as if you wanted the real thing so just click the link below I set up for you and you'll be set. And one final thing- to get the taste exact you need a pressure deep fryer (pioneered by the colonel himself) you can pick one up at any major restaurant supply, all the chicken places use them now. It fries foods at higher temps and seals them faster than typical deep fryers. Good luck cuz they ain't cheap and they're pretty big to fit in your kitchen. Bon appetit!

K.F.C. is really terrible, tastes great I admit, is some of the WORST food on the market...and NONE of their restaurants are clean......they do NOT handle their food with care. IF you want that recipe then I recommend that you check out what is REALLY in those ingredients...it will appall you...I recommend using a Cajun spicy crispy recipe....to spec of your own palate...and WATCH the oil that you use, as they use theirs for days and nothing is clean
I worked in 3 of them..and damn if I wasn't right each time.
Bread them I suggest, leave cold with having rolled in the spices I mentioned..the n use Virgin Olive oil...as it will not hurt you..and the skin, crispy will NOT be bad for you.
Keep two sauces on the side as well..perhaps a Ranch Dressing, and a sweet and sour sauce....Bon Appetit!

any of those recipies will work, the secret behind the seasonings is italian dressing seasoning *gasp!* but the real seceret is in the cooking method, instead of direct frying, KFC uses a type of presure fryer similiar to a broaster, they also use their own breed of chicken which has been bread to be mature in a short period of time and have over grown, underused muscle giving them a lot of juicy tender meat (yummy!)

I use a "shake and bake" and then I deep fat fry the chicken...this makes my chicken taste like KFC's chicken and my kids just love it.

They steam fry their chicken in a pressure cooker and they use a special combination of seasonings.
