Looking for a variation to that little ham/pickle/cream cheese roll ups appetizer recipe... has anyone added garlic powder or other seasonings to the cream cheese? I was just hoping to make them a little different for Thanksgiving - instead of the same old. I saw something about adding red/green food coloring to the cream cheese - which would be good for Christmas...but does anyone have any simple suggestions for jazzing this recipe up a little? Thanks in advance!!

I made mashed potatoes with a ricer, and they came out very lumpy/grainy. My mom has always used a ricer, and never has any problems. This has happened to me before, so this time I heated the milk and butter before I added them, but no luck. Do you know the cause, and any way to fix it?

I want to find a whiskey drink that i can sort of sip on throughout the night. I'm looking for something that is not too sweet, but not very bitter either, just 1-3 ingredients. I'm partial to Canadian Whiskey but am willing to try anything.

I am making my sister and brother-in-law a wine basket for christmas because they love wine!

What snacks should I include?
Here's what I have so far:
* cheese swirls
* chocolate
* candy canes
* cheese spread
* crackers...
That's all I can think of.

Thanks for the help.

Hi

I need to know if i'm drinking too much alcohol. I'm currently 18 but i've been drinking since i was 16. I drink every weekend with my buddy's. Usually only fridays. So mainly 1 day a week

However I have alcoholic family members (Grandparents and uncles) and drinking runs in my family blood. Latley i'm starting to feel the urge to need a drink pretty much daily and I get pretty depressed when I am drinking. I'm starting to get a little concered.

What do you guys think?

thanks

I want to spice up my boring organic spaghetti sauce that has been sitting in the fridge for sometime now. I want to add some things...here is what I was thinking:

-Oregano
-Garlic Pepper
-Season Salt
-A pasta seasoning
-Celery Salt

Any other ideas? Do you think those spices would be good? Thanks!

Last minute shopper here... but I finally did purchase a turkey and since I couldn't afford to buy a "fresh" one, I had no choice but to buy a frozen one. What is the quickest and safest way to defrost this turkey? Thank you!

my recipe calls for a food processor to combine flour & butter/shortning together. I don't own one. Can I use a mixer or should I hand mix? If hand mix, how?
