What is a canola and how do they extract oil from it?

I don't quite trust the stuff.

Canola (rapeseed) is vegan. It's a healthy fat, like olive oil. I myself prefer olive oil (I'm flexi, by the way) because I think it tastes better. But for some kinds of foods, where olive oil's flavor is not complimentary (sweet foods, especially baked goods, apply) or appropriate, canola is great.

OMG NO! Everyone knows canola oil comes from real canolas. Poor canolas. :(

*rolleyes* COME ON, PEOPLE. Use common sense. Google. Do something.

p.s. Vegans are "allowed" to use whatever they want.

Yes canola oil can be used unless something non vegan was fried in it and it is good for you i believe but just as said olive oil is better for you and it helps your hair grow and repair.

Canola oil is vegan, and I use it in recipes where I don't want the strong taste of olive oil, say, when I'm baking.

Using "vegan logic", canola oil comes from rape seed and I'm against sexual violence to women so I don't use it ....

Yes, it's plant-based and one of the most stable oils for cooking/baking.

In small quantities, it is healthy.
