Hello,
Does any body know the recipe for "Badam Feast Mix" that's sold in stores?

I want to make it in home. I know the ingredients, but don't know the procedure.

Thanks.

Why do vegans and vegetarians hate flexitarians? Is it the name? Or is it that once a month or a couple of times a yr.(holdiday and social events) that these people may feel the need to eat a little bit of meat. I you eat meat more than once a month you are an omnivoure. I see nothing wrong w/ being a vegetarian most days of my life and then having a slice or 2 of turkey on thankgiving(free range of course). Thoughts and opinions pls. No bashing. Thanks in advance for your responses.

I'm spending the day at my moms, she is cooking the turkey and I am making all the side dishes and dessert, my family are all ok with them being vegan (after much debate about marshmallows as the topping for sweet potatoes--my family was h*ll bent on them but we finally settled on finely ground pecans & walnuts). I am trying a tofurkey for the first time.

I am thankful for my youngest son being out of the Army after 3 years of service. He moved out of the apartment on base a month ago, but he is officially out of the Army as of Nov 23, 2007

For those of you in other countries, do you have a similar type holiday as Thanksgiving?

My daughter is having her birthday party at a place that is decorated in a 50s theme so I kind of wanted to make a cake to fit the theme. Any ideas?

Did you ever go to a restaurant where there was NOTHING vegan- or vegetarian-friendly on the menu? How often? It sometimes happens to me and it is SO annoying!

My friend made an immoral mistake last night. He ate escargo!! What is worse is that he said he liked it. I told him how immoral that act was, but he acted like he didn't care. He said that escargo are insects not animals and he thought it was fine and was going to try grubs next! He went vegan two months ago, when I presurred him into it. I am very successful at vegan persuasion. Should I disown him as a friend for being so immoral?

I want to make some type of green salad for Thanksgiving. I was thinking something light to balance all the HEAVY traditional things like dressing and mashed potatoes. Anyone have a recipe that is simple, without anything too un-usual? My Dad is a "meat n potato" kind of man.

I decided to cook 2 turkeys instead of 1. 1 turkey is 11.37 lbs and 1 @ 13.37 lbs, bout 25 lbs total, how long do I have to cook them? Both will be stuffed. They will only fit in my conventional oven side by side on 1 rack. Anyone ever done this and have them come out perfect?

i never use an oven before. i just bought a pre-cook boneless turkey breast meal from boston market. i have instructions to heat up mashed potatoes and gravy using a microwave. i have no problem with using the microwave.

but the boneless turkey breast instruction said NOT to use a microwave and to use an oven instead. i never use an oven in my life. i check last nite and in fact my oven is working...it doesnt have a timer or anything...just temperature gauge from 100 degree to 350 degrees and than broiler i beli. here is the instruction for the turkey:

- preheat oven to 350 degree F.
- remove trukey and pan from the outer bag.
- do not remove the clear cook-in bag or tie closure. keep turkey in roasting pan.
-place pan on a sheet tray into preheated oven.
-roast to an internal temperature of 140 degree F. approximately 90 minutes.

questions:
1. it said to preheat the oven to 350 degree. how long i have to wait before putting the turkey in the oven?
