Last minute shopper here... but I finally did purchase a turkey and since I couldn't afford to buy a "fresh" one, I had no choice but to buy a frozen one. What is the quickest and safest way to defrost this turkey? Thank you!

Defrost it in cold water and change the water periodically so it stays good and cold.It will still take quite awhile but is the safest method.
You can add a little salt to the water which helps the thawing process.

positioned it on your sink and fill the sink with COLD water, allow the tap water run over the turkey, make certain the water is COLD. Empty the Water within the sink each and every forty five min to an hour and fill it up once more with COLD water. And preserve the facuet water going for walks on it always. Flip the turkey, within the sink most of the time. The cause why you wanna preserve it bloodless is in view that it'll preclude bactieria from developing. Don't use scorching!

DO NOT thaw it in warm or hot water. Big no no, cause bacteria to grow. You can thaw it in the fridge like someone suggested. Or do a water bath. Put your turkey in cold water (in the sink or cooler) and change the water every 30 mins. Then put back in fridge til ready to make. That should work.

Put it in your bathtub (keep the plastic bag on!) and fill the bath tub with cool water so that it covers the turkey. Every now and again go in there and turn it over. By tomorrow morning it will be thawed.

Make sure the plastic bag it's in hasn't been pierced. To make sure, put it in a large Zip Loc bag. Let it sit in cold water. Change the water every 30 minutes, and let it sit for 30 minutes for every pound of weight.

put it in a big pot and soak it in lukewarm water. Keep the wrapper on until it's thawed and you're ready to cook it. If it's small enough, defrost it in your microwave

Keep it in the refrigerator overnight. It should be thawed out by the time you are ready to start baking it.
