Thanksgiving salad? Need to make a salad for tomorrow need something easy and with no potatoes?

my aunt makes this really yummy green apple and pomegrante salad. all u do is cut the apples up into bite size pieces, with the skin left on, and puts pomegrante into it... depending on how many ppl u r making it for depends on how many apples and pomegrantes u will need. o and the dressing is whipped cream!! YUMMO!

1/2 cup oil
3 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1/4 tsp. salt
dash pepper
2 heads butter lettuce, torn into pieces
2 pears, cored and chopped
1/2 cup toasted walnuts
1/2 cup crumbled bleu cheese
PREPARATION:
Combine oil, vinegar, sugar, celery seed, salt, and pepper in a jar with a very tight lid. Shake well until sugar is dissolved and the dressing is blended. Set aside in the refrigerator.
Combine all salad ingredients and pour dressing over, tossing to coat.

I made an orzo salad. It's just boiling a cup of orzo, chopping up half a bag of spinach and shredded carrot blend, a drained and rinsed can of garbanzo beans, about 1/3 cup toasted pine nuts, and a quick lemon vinaigrette. Toss all that together and add a 4 oz. package of crumbled feta, any flavor.

1/3 cup olive oil
Juice of two lemons
Zest of one of them
A spoonful of minced jarred garlic
Big pinches of kosher salt, fresh ground pepper, and dried oregano.

Shake or whisk it all up.
