I was just engaged recently. I have many close friends, but I am really not sure that I want any bridesmaids. I kind of like the idea of just my HTB and me standing up there. Is this odd? Do we really need to have bridesmaids and groomsmen?

keep my last name for work purposes? I mean....well im not a stripper or exotic dancer by any means lol (but with a name like mine you never know lol)

I dunno im a database specialist and everyone knows me by Devine and it's in my work email and all that..plus we have image signatures in our email ...

now i know i could get a new email and have a new image made...but do you think it's ok that i keep my last name for this purpose only? In my social life go by Chesney Hubbell?

i need pointers for wedding favors (trying to stay around 20k for the entire wedding). In dallas tx. most likely 150+ guests but if my estimation is correct its going to exceed 200. I kow the resturant is going to run close to if not over 10k for that amount of people if i factor in about 40 to 50 a head. After flowers, decorations, and all the other stuff i have no idea i will need since this is our first wedding, i'm trying to stay somewhat cheap yet not tacky for favors. Anyone in the dallas tx area with other pointers i would really appreciate it.

I found out my wedding ring was bought for a previous girlfriend before I was even in the picture. I never picked this ring out, it was just presented to me, it really was not my style but at the time I was OK with it. Had it reset a couple of times but. now after 18 years of marriage I really want to pick out my own. Husband can't understand why. To him a ring is just a ring. Now it's become a sore topic, I can't get him to go into a jewerly store, he just does not understand I want him involved in this.

I would love to whiten them for my wedding, but don't have dental insurance. What is the best product I can use at home? I'm not getting married until April, so I've got some time.

i heard that the guy is called a "fiance"pronounced (fee-ans)
and the lady is called a "fiance" pronounced (fee-an-say)

I have decided on a great way to propose to my boyfriend. He was psyched for me to propose...I was psyched to propose to him.

Now I'm having second thoughts. I think we should be together longer and that we should wait until we're both living in the same town before we decide. I think I will wait a year.

Problem is, the proposal idea was scheduled for Feb. 29th (a day that won't be around next year...) It also takes place in New York City (where I currently live...and won't be living next year). Even though I don't think I'm ready to propose, I still want to do all the special things I'd planned for that day -- leaving him instructions to meet me at the Natural History Museum, followed by a brisk walk in Central Park and then going to Grand Central Terminal (where we first met) and popping the ?

Is there a way to do all this romance without it being a proposal? Is there another way to spin the situation? Ideas? Or will it seem odd to not ask "Will you marry me?" at the end?

My husband's brother proposed to his girlfriend just before Thanksgiving, shortly after we announced to our family that we're pregnant with our 2nd child, and due May 18th. My husband's brother called to find out what a good or bad time to have the wedding would be, and we said to plan it for whenever they need to, and not to worry about us. shortly after, he asked my husband to be his best man, and asked again when would be a good time for us to go. This time, we told him that April and May would not be good for us. He called back a few weeks later and said they need to have it in April for various reasons. My husband said that the earlier in April, the better my chances of going. His brother called back again to say its going to be April 30th. My doctor won't allow me to travel at that time (out-of-state) so I will not be attending. I broke up with my fiance after he slept with my best friend 2 years ago.
I broke my relationship with my best friend too. You can imagine what I've been through .
Now just a couple of days ago, I ran into my ex fiance and my ex best friend together at the grocery store and they're pregnant. I saw rings on their fingers so I guess they got married. The conversation was brief and awkward. I just acted like I'm happy and asked how they are and they faked their smile too and we continued shopping.
I'm so depressed and still single. My ex fiance still looked handsome (and I thought he would look messed up but he actually looked better!)
How do I move on?

My husbands best friend is getting married and no one can stand his bride to be! My husband has sucked it up and agreed to be the best man ("I'll be here when he makes the mistake, and I'll be here for him when the mistake comes full circle") They moved to our town to start a new life away from their home town, and they don't have many friends here, so this girl has attached herself to me! Ugh! She's everything you DON'T want in a friend. Clingy, selfish, frequently freaks out on her bf, and demands you take sides, she's just all around bad news. She's asked me to be her maid of honor because it'd be SO cute what w/ my hubby being the best man. She really doesn't have a whole lot of friends, she alienated herself from friends and family over her recent life choices. I feel bad but I seriously don't think I'll be able to take her freaking out on ME over every wedding detail.... She emailed me the request so I'm trying to think of a nice way to say NO!!!! Help!?!?!
