If you buy from a reputable jeweler, they usually have loan programs available. Go to the jeweler and ask about financing. You could secure financing on your own through a bank, or use a credit card, too. I've been married twice and both used a loan payment system from the jeweler.
My ring now was financed that way, and it even came with a 12 months 0% financing option. So, there were no interest charges since we paid the balance before the 12 months was up. that is a good option if you can pay it off in a year. Some go to 18 months or more, too. good luck.

Well, I'm not a big fan of loans, I think you should buy what you can pay for right now and $8000 is a lot for a ring but if you know that you will be able to make the payments and you have good credit so you can get a good interest rate, you could finance it and make payments. Please only do this if you realistically can though, no woman should want you to start the marriage out with a huge debt so you can buy her a ring.

The whole point of the ring was to traditionally demonstrate that you can provide for the lady. A loan goes way against that.
Just save up, buy something that you can afford, she should love it no matter if it cost 8 k or 25 cents. You always hear of rings getting repossessed off girls' fingers....I would rather a cheaper ring, paid in FULL!!!! (and its what I have)

Most places will let you open up an account to make payments on. Make sure you have good credit though. Also, why are you buying a ring if you cannot afford it? My husband put my new ring on a credit card and paid it off the following month.

Since you will most likely be taking a loan for your wedding I would try the laway thing and just pay as much on it as you can every week or every two weeks (basically whenever you get paid) without cutting yourself short for the week. Lucky girl that must be a beautiful ring. Congrats

That is an insane amount to pay for a ring. If you can't afford to make monthly payments, don't buy it. A loan is not worth it.

You should not be buying a ring that costs more than you have cash on hand. If you can't afford the ring, then you are not ready to be married.

Talk them down.
We found a georgeous bridal set for just under 8000 and as soon as they know you're serious and willing to pay cash that day, they dropped to $2500.
If your credit isnt good or you dont have that kind of money, best to avoid getting in the habit of buying things you can't afford. Considering money is one of the leading causes of divorce.........

You either save for it or buy a less expensive ring.

I agree with Johnny B....if you can't afford the ring, how can you afford everything that comes along with being married.....mortgage, bills, KIDS? Save your cash, get a better job before you get married. You will not regret it.
