This is the wedding gown I'm considering. This is going to be my second marriage so there will be no veil, no fancy frills or long train.

I want something simple and elegant.

I've read Alisha's answer and I agree...white CAN be worn at a second or any subsequent wedding. Also, you would think that a REAL wedding planner would also know proper English.

Thanks to everyone who has answered so far.

I love these fly by night wedding planners who think they know it all. She needs to research the real reason behind wearing white before she starts giving her 'expert' opinion.

On that note...I think you're dress is lovely...actually looks like what many destination wedding brides might consider.

It's beautiful! I love it!! very classy and elegant.

If Alisha is really a wedding planner she should know that white did not originally symbolize purity, but wealth. Only the wealthy could afford a white dress to only be worn once. The 'purity' myth came about later. Now, people wear whatever they want.

Besides, the brides sexual history is none of anyone else's business.

It's a beautiful gown and very appropriate.

FYI Don't book alisha as your wedding planner. She doesn't know her stuff.

White wedding gowns first became en vogue in the victorian era when queens and other nobility started getting married in white gowns. White did not symbolize purity or virginity. Rather it was a sign of priviledge and oppulance because these people were able to afford a white dress to wear on ONE day which was completely impractical at the time.

First, third, fifteenth wedding... if you want to wear a white gown, there is nothing stopping you but the ignorance of some people who think white = virginity.

FYI BLUE means purity, not white.

Good luck and I hope you have a beautiful wedding and a happy marriage!

I love it. It's very simple but beautiful. I would definitely try it on before ordering it online, though. That kind of style can be unflattering on some body-types.
