Hi all,

I'm thinking about buying a wedding dress from ebay. Has anybody had experience with such? And if so, positive or negative?

Yikes, that guy has anger issues and has never paid for a wedding on a budget. Anyways.. I looked at dresses on Ebay and they looked pretty good. I figured if I got it early and it needed work I would have time to find a seamstress to fix any problems. I read the feed back on those and most people were saying A+.
I was lucky tho, my family is paying for my dress so I got mine from David's bridal (700$).

Maybe try getting a dress from a real bride in America on Ebay. Someone who wore the dress once and took good care of it. Try emailing the seller some questions.

Congrats and good luck.

YES! My best friend did this. It was an absolutely gorgeous gown and fit perfectly. Most of them take sooo many measurements that as long as you get help taking your measurements and you are accurate, it should fit. They take the upper arm, lower arm, distance from shoulder to breast, shoulder to waist, and the list goes on and on.

One thing you have to remember is that the dress and the shipping will be equal. Her dress was about $99 and it was $119 shipping.

She ordered her gown and it took a while to arrive (as it's being custom made and then traveling a long way) but it was the perfect gown for her. So gorgeous and just as described. I'd completely recommend it if you are on a tight budget.

Just make sure you've tried on similar gowns in bridal stores so that you KNOW that style will look good on you.

I bought my dress that way. My body type is not hard to fit (size 1), so I wasn't concerned about buying online. It was fine and came within 3 weeks. It was too big even though they had my measurements. After alterations, it was beautiful and I only spent $160 on the dress. That's the good thing about those stores. If it doesn't work out, you can still afford a new dress!

You should check out BridalOnlineStore.com and read what happened when they bought three wedding dresses off of Ebay that were made in China. It's not good. I could never order a dress on Ebay after reading it.

China ekt on Ebay is the same as the website 1koo.com (lots of dresses) My dress is on order, I liked it BETTER than any I saw in stores. Give it a try if you have time. Like another person said, if it isn't right then you can still afford a different one. All I have heard is positive- and the price is certainly right.
