For my wedding i did little lacy favour bags that you can find at the dollar store (mine came in packs of 8 for $1) and filled them with hershey hugs and kisses, which i tohught was cute as a wedding is allabout love. Then i tied a little thak you tag onto the bag, and voila! If you have a specific color theme you could try to find them wrapped in paper of your theme colors. I'm not from Texas but i'm sure you can find them anywhere, or even order them online if you can't. Or find some other cute chocolates or candy to use instead. I went to one wedding where they ordered custom printed M&M's online. So cool!

Most people would like something they can drink or eat. Now I am not in the Dallas area but I have a Friend that worked at a hall in my state and she said. What could not be eaten was all ways left.
Here's what was big
kisses in boxes,as a flower, wrapped in tulle
Wine bottles with custom labels
Watter bottles with custom labels
Spoons dipped in chocolate
Here's what was left
Cd's
picture frames
cookie cutters
note books
Now most of the edible favors can be made cheaper then ordering it on line If you have the time custom label can be made with a computer program and address labels

I don't have specifics for Dallas but I would recommend something that the guest can use again. We gave cookie cutters of shamrock since ours was Irish with band and all. We had a message on paper tied with string thanking guests for sharing in our day and all that mush. If your wedding is TX theme, think cactus cookie cutter. You can find them on line in metal for about 50 cents each. Ribbon and note could be done inexpensively also.

Edibles are always good. I made mine. I made some fleur de lis chocolate pops. They turned out beautiful and everyone liked them. I had about the same number of guests, it costs me $10 for the molds, the chocolate and sticks were about $60. Then I had some labels made with our names and wedding date for about $40. Not bad and they looked awesome and I was able to say I made them. I'm in your area too, if you have any other questions, I may can help.

I've been to a wedding where there was a donation made in each guests' name to a local charity. I thought that was nice!

my friend made CD's that they burned with pretty lables and with all their fav songs....but i dont know how much they cost.
think of something simple...maybe that they could eat...like chocolate?
my sister gave out maple syrup...but that was like 6k. if your wedding has a theme (hers was "fall" themed) think of something that will match that.
