My co-worker is getting married and i'm invited, along with other peole we work with. I always thought that if it's just your name on the invitation, if it doesn't say + guest, the only person invited is you. But another co-worker of ours told me today that it's standard fare to come to a wedding with someone, whether or not their name was on your invitation. The wedding is this Sunday and i don't want to stress out the bride by bringing this up to her last minute like this. What should i do? Is it generally assumed that you're bringing a guest to a wedding? I already sent out my rsvp card with only my name on it. Is it too late to change that? Help!!!

I have been engaged for 2 months now. Everything is great, we have moved in & glad that we are starting our lives together. But my fiance wants to have a baby before our wedding date. We set our wedding date for June 2009. I agreed to have a baby before our wedding but now I am having 2nd thoughts. Not sure if this is the best idea. I am hesitant because I am sure that after we have a baby we will not have a nice wedding & a honeymoon. Am I being selfish?

Its the second weekend in September, at 3 or 4 in the afternoon, and it's indoors. It's not a real formal wedding, but it's not casual either. I need help! I really like these two, but I've never been to a wedding, so I don't know what's appropriate. I like the first one (black and white), but can you wear black? Is there too much white to where the bride would get pissed? How about the brown and pink one? Any opinions help. Or, if you have a link to some cute dresses, let me know. Thanks!

Has anyone been there? If so, please tell me about your experiences...

What do you know about the "Royal Village Honeymoon Villa Suite"? (It's a Butler Service room.)

We are thinking of going to this Sandals rather than St. Lucia/Antigua because we feel this one is a little smaller, not so party-party, and more luxurious.

Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I have been looking online for some ideas on what I want my hair to look like when I get married. Basically I am pretty open. I just don't want it to be way crazy and over the top. Right now I have about shoulder length curly hair. I would prefer a loose, curly look. I want to have flowers decorated through out my hair.
I need some help. Can you guys give me some ideas? Or if you know of any good websites to look through please list them. Thanks!

I gave him the diamond from my old wedding set (1st marriage). Tacky, I know. He bought a pave diamond band for $1250.

I broke off the engagement after catching him in several lies; one lie was about doing drugs behind my back. He did XTC and slept in a bed with a his best friend's girlfriend!! He says nothing happened but she accused him of touching her while she slept.

We both agree that I'm keeping the diamond. Should I give the band back?

I have a white gold wedding ring. I bought Avon ring cleaner and it works really well. I was just wondering if I can clean it once a week with this cleaner or should I not do it so often. If not how often can I clean my engagement ring??

My boyfriend is 28 and I am 23 and we have been together for 3 months now. He treats me so well, we love each other deeply and plan to get married within the next couple years. He has a 7 year old daughter and I asked him what does he tell her when she asks him why he is not with her mommy. He said he tells her "I love your mom and she loves me but we do not understand each other and cannot live with each other because we argue all the time and that is not what we want for you...." I thought it was sweet but I can't get it out of my mind that he said that they love each other. Should I feel jealous or is this natural?

She has had a boyfriend for 9 months now so it's not like she is alone. Any thoughts or advice?

Thank you~

Does anyone have any good ideas for venues for getting married for an agnostic and a Catholic?? Definately dont want a registry office, but obviously dont want a church either. Struggling to find a happy compromise that is also special.

I have a wedding to attend this weekend. I'm hoping to save a little money and wear something I already own. I have a navy knit dress and a red knit dress. I plan to dress them up with accessories, but is the color navy ok? I'm questioning the red dress because her wedding colors are red and white. The wedding is at 2pm, we live in a rural town in Virginia and the wedding isn't over the top, but not a cheap wedding either. Just trying to save a little money, but would appreciate honest opinions.

I'm going to a casual beach wedding where they say we shouldn't wear suits, but since it is outdoors and might be chilly, they say we can bring a sport coat.

I don't have a sport coat. I only have suits. Can I just bring one of my suit jackets and wear it like a sport coat?

I don't even know the difference between a suit jacket and a sport coat. They all look the same to me.

And would navy blue be a good color? Does that go with everything?

We are working on a very limited budget where the food is the most expensive item. I am thinking of only offering deli meat sandwhiches and some finger foods. We're not having a "traditional" wedding or reception. We're treating it as more of a party than a traditional reception. We will have alcohol, ice cream sundaes instead of cake, a dj and dancing, but we're steering away from your normal wedding traditions outside of a first dance and a wedding party. Would this be bad ettiquiette?

I used to get this brand of flowers from JoAnn's called Silk Vision, and now they only carry a few of them and I can't find the rest of the flowers I need. So I am looking to see if anyone knows a website or the name of the company who makes them. Oh, and I did call the JoAnn hotline or w/e and they were pretty stupid and didn't know anything lol

I'm not looking to spend a lot of money. I want to cap the costs at $1000. Any suggestions? I want a traditional and elegant wedding, which I know Vegas offers. No Elvis weddings or that sort.

My dad was there at church and then later for pictures. We had our pics taken at a public park. Him and his girlfriend use drugs, but he was clean up to the wedding. I saw him with a handful of pills at the pic location. He didn't say goodbye. Later when I got to the reception he was nowhere to be found. He never did show up. He went to a bar with his girlfriend instead. He feels really bad. I haven't talked to him since. I don't know if I can forgive him. I want to be mad at him, but he is my dad. I can't beleive he didn't show up to what is the most important day of my life. I am so hurt. I was so embarrased at the wedding. We were supposed to have the father/daughter dance and I was there with no father. What should I do, forgive and forget??

that didn't happen to me but I did let a stranger use my expensive phone, against my better judgement. After I gave her the phone she coughed all over it and her mouth looked like it was recovering from something, it was discolored (im thinking cold sores). Since then that phone has been retired. However I now have an emergency where my backphone has a problem and I seem to have no other choice but to use it. Should I? Im a germaphobic
